i love my ice cream

Sorry, Kathy, I know you are having an ice cream free day, but I just put my homemade ice cream recipe through the WW recipe builder. With whole milk and a ONE CUP serving, it's only 5 points!!!

For those of you who love ice cream like I do, you know that premium ice cream can be costly, points-wise. And that a serving is typically a half cup-YEAH RIGHT!!! I estimated my small portions (yes, I had it twice on Sunday!) as 6 points, but I was overestimating! Think I'll have to have a little more of the extra in the freezer tonight...mmmmmmm!!!

BTW, I put it through the recipe builder with 2% milk and it was still 5 points for one cup, so I'll just stick with my whole milk. I don't think I would want to go much lighter on the milk. I do like it rich and creamy!

Hi, I just stumbled apon your blog when I hit next blog, after reading my girlfriends blog. I was happy to see your success. Have you done WW with a friend, on line, or in-person meetings and weigh-ins? Is it really effective? I've been considering it for a while now, but don't know if I could do it. I'm starting at about the same weight your were at and am about the same height. I don't know if we can afford it as we are at-home missionaries but want to know if you think flex plan or core plan is better?
If you don't mind responding that would be great. I think by adding this comment you will be able to find me. If not I'll check back in to your blog and see if you added a comment. Thanks.

Yeah...I know how sorry you are, Mama. Homemade vanilla...love vanilla!
I made it through "No ice cream Tuesday", but I have to admit there was a point in the day that I bargained with myself that if I could just make it to midnite, I was going to have some. The feeling passed and I still haven't had any today.
And what is really funny, is that I never was a freak about ice cream until I found that Kroger brand made with Splenda and the low-fat ingredients...CRAZY!!!

Thanks for stopping by my new blog! I've been thinking about getting an ice cream maker. Call me crazy, but I think it would actually REDUCE the amount of ice cream I eat - if I make the promise that I will only eat homemade ice cream. That way, I'll have to really think about whether I want the ice cream enough to put in the effort to make it. Plus, I like being in control of the ingredients.

5 points for a cup of ice cream sounds like my kind of heaven! LOL
